A classic Margies, warm and dry summer provided the perfect conditions for our alternate varietals. All we had to do was sit back, relax and wait for the grapes to ripen.

Winemaking

A field blend of Tempranillo, Shiraz and Malbec, wild fermented and matured in old French oak for 7 months. No adds, bottled unfined.

Taste

Throw a Spaniard and a couple of Frenchies into some old oak, let them ferment wildly and do their thing. Subtle savoury aromas, with hints of fruit cake, plums and star anise leap from the glass. A medium bodied combo of red currants, dried cherry and currants. A full mouth feel with rustic Tempranillo tannins carry this gem through the palate. Luscious.
